Dr Mijanou Lamoureux was born and raised in Ottawa. She attended St Pius X High School and went on to complete 3 years in Biological Sciences at Carleton University. She graduated from the Ontario Veterinary College in 2006 and was eager to join the veterinary team at the Ottawa Veterinary Hospital in May 2006. She loves the fast pace of emergency medicine, with special interests in surgery and neurology.

During the summer, she enjoys spending her spare time in cottage country swimming, tanning, or waterskiing. Equally, rollerblading and running along the canal on a bright sunny day. Other interests include reading, shopping, and especially traveling. She has visited South America and Western Europe over the past couple of years and has no intention of stopping there! In addition to having her family in town, she is also very attached to her 2 cats; “Suki” her Siamese beauty and “Nieko” her Oriental Short Hair master!
